Character Breakfast

We went to the Beach resort for a character breakfast one morning.  We took the bus to hollywood and then were going to catch a bus to the hotel.  When we got off of the bus and headed in the opposite direction of the park the driver got our attention to correct this.  We thanked him but told him we were heading to the other hotel and he offered to drive us over there.  I can't stress enough how nice everyone at disney is.  We had the bus to ourselves it was kind of fun.

Here we are at a fountain outside of the Beach resort.

And the boys wanted to try and drive this they thought that it was just a toy.

How about this for a birthday cake?

Spending time with some characters.

Waterslide.

This isn't a very big slide but the kids love it.  Notice the snow on the ground.  Does it make you feel cold?  I know it did us;)  Next time we go I am going to remember to take a sweater.

Blizzard Beach

Three cheers for Blizzard Beach, after a hot day in the regular park it was nice to spend a cool relaxing day in the water park.  The lines however were longer then at the regular parks I think everyone else had the same idea.  We still had a blast.

Here are the boys with summit plummit in the background.  No none of us rode this one.

I think that this little snowman family is so cute and I wish that I had taken a picture of just them so you could see it a little better.  But this picture will have to do and yes I know I am a little biased I think my boys are pretty cute to.  Just don't tell Zach that I said that on the blog.

Turkey legs. This was the first time that Zach had tasted a turkey leg. He has been a little more adventurous with what he will try over the past few months and he asked for one for lunch. He liked it although Jacob didn't. If you haven't tried them I would suggest it they are yummy.

This is one of our favorite spots to stop for pictures.  It was very sunny oh and I almost forgot it was hot also.

This picture was taken in the same spot the last time that we were there three years ago.  Look how much they have changed.

More hollywood studios

Here we are outside of the Toy story mania ride.  Which we didn't.  The line was over 100 minutes and we have all ridden it multiple times in California so we did opt not to ride this one.  This picture is funny to me though since Jacob is looking at the map yet again.  I think that he was just trying to give a scholarly impression in the pictures let me explain why.  If asked he could never tell where we actually need to go or even where we were on the map.  When asked if you could help him read it or explain it he insisted that he knew what he was doing but I am pretty sure that it was just a ruse.  It was cute though.

Did I mention that it was hot there.  I think that it was so hot that this hydrant sprung a leak.  It was hot.

I had to snap this quick before he fell asleep and yep only one was willing to be in this one.

We should have taken this picture on the way in rather then the way out.

Disney Hollywood Studios

Here we go to Hollywood Studios.

Of course we had to debate on what language we needed our maps in.  I think we ended up with one of each.  And we still could only read the english one hmmm.

We got lost right away but luckily we had a map and our handy tour guide (Jacob) was quickly able to advise us where we were ... Main street.

We also got to ride the new Star tours ride.  It was fun.  I couldn't get Zach to get on the star wars motorcycle for a picture but Jacob posed.

Hollywood Connection

My sister Sam and I decided to take our kids to hollywood connection the other night.  These are just a few of the better pictures.

Of course miniature golf is fun especially when everyone is so good at it;)  They do look focused and serious in this picture though don't they?

It didn't last I think they decided that it was a bigger target to aim for the water.

If you notice we actually had two balls at once in the water on this picture.  That's right two.  Such talent.  At one point the kids behind us were fishing out more of our balls then we were.  But everyone had fun and no one fell in, that was the picture that I was holding out for but not this time.

Back to school shopping.

Yes I agree with Zach that this is a totally inhumane pastime although my reasons are different.  But we had to do the dreaded back to school shopping.  My boys don't believe me when I tell them that I hate shopping at least as much as they do, but yes I do.  Unless that is you are in a disney park and then it just doesn't feel like a chore.

Usually Zach is the one covering the picture but this one was Jacob.

So I quickly let them know that if they didn't allow me one picture we would go to the mall.  Fortunately they didn't realize that this was an empty threat since I would rather have a root canal then  go to the mall YUCK!  But I did get a picture.  Only one blinker.

This picture I just liked even though you can see him just waiting to roll his eyes at me.
