Alpine Slide

We decided last year when we took the boys up to the alpine slide right before school started that it was a fun end of summer right before school starts activity. So we wanted to make it an annual event.

We got up there a little before the slide opened up so we had to wait.  Luckily I had my nook in my purse.  Although I must admit I generally carry it so I can read on it but the boys use it to play Angry Birds.

We decided to ride the coaster that they have up there also but Jacob was a couple of inches to short.  He could still ride just not by himself.

Here we are waiting our turn.  Everyone was really excited but Jacob who at the last minute decided that he didn't want to go.  We already had a ticket and no one else could use it since his was a kid ticket so of course being good parents we said sit down, shut up and hold on we paid and you are going.  Watch for him on a future episode of Oprah.

As it turned out he loved it he kept yelling at me to make it go faster.  I on the other hand decided that I didn't like it and would have loved to have gone slower.  Everyone else loved it though.

These two pictures were taken while we were waiting our turn to get on the ski lift to go up to the slide.

On the ski lift going up to the slide.

Pulling the sleds.

This picture is of Zach on the far right and Jacob is two slides over holding up the mom and son coming down behind him.  I didn't end up with any closer pictures that weren't out of focus.

We stopped for lunch at a little eating place next to the slide and Jacob was happy to see that Phineas and Ferb were playing.

After lunch we decided to go ride the gondolas.

At the top we stopped for a picture at the bobsled.

Based on the way that he posed for this picture I don't think that Zach has any clue how the front bobsled guy actually rides in it.

I am not sure what caught their attention I was trying to get a picture of them looking at the camera and at the last minute something else caught their attention as you can tell.  I don't remember now what it was.
