Today was the first official day of summer vacation. With what feels like a neverending supply of vacation days in front of us (it feels that way to mom anyway) we decided to start the summer off with reading. We ran to the library and got signed up for the summer reading program. Zach was very excited since this year he can sign up in the teen division and he is hoping to win a really good prize. Jacob is just excited to get a book. We got a good sized stack of books and are hoping to find at least a couple in there that they would like to read.
For a first day celebration we decided to get lunch at Iceberg. They were very busy so I talked the kids into bringing it home. They were ok with that since I wouldn't let them take their game boys in. I have my work cut out for me trying to keep them busy this summer, but I am looking forward to a summer with them.
