Field trip day for the first graders today. We rode the front runner up to the Treehouse museum in Ogden. The kids got to put on a play of the three little pigs (slightly different then the original version). Jacob was the prince charming on a horse.



They also got to learn about Kings, Queens and knights and make their own magic wand or sceptor. After all of that they got to play in the museum in their groups for awhile. We had never been up this museum before and are now planning on going back it was a lot of fun. I ended up with a ton of cute pix but I try to only post my kids unless I have permission so here are the ones I got of just Jacob.

After the museum we walked over to the Ogden temple and ate lunch in the backyard of the Miles Goodyear cabin built in 1845 in the Ogden Canyon. It has been relocated there next to the pioneer museum. The kids were surprised that the entire cabin was about the size of their bedrooms at home. It was a lot of fun and something that I would highly recommend if you are looking for a fun outing for your family everything was within walking distance of the ogden frontrunner station so you could make a whole day of it train ride and all. We will be heading back up there as a family again sometime soon Jacob was already planning our trip on the way home today. Hope everyone is doing good and that you all had a great holiday weekend.

Ok I just got corrected for my blog entry Zach's shoes aren't just plane old basketball shoes they are named after some basketball player named Air Jordan. Oops. I guess that I will never hear the end of this one. I guess I had better get on the internet and see if I can find out who this new player named Air is:)

Hope that everyone has had a good Labor day weekend. We have had a great one just a fun weekend together as the family nothing major. Shoe shopping for the boys. We also saw the movie shorts it was kind of cute and they really enjoyed it. Craig has been off and we have enjoyed having him here with us. He fixed the leaky faucet in the boys bathtub. Dropped my gas tank and replaced the fuel pump I finally have my own car back. We've been working with just one since about a week before the kids got out of school. He has been gone so much that his was just sitting here and he also hasn't been home enough to get mine fixed but it is up and running again. yea!!! I am so greatful to him for his hard work and think that he is absolutely wonderful. I am really glad that he is so smart and able to do so much for us around the house and garage:) He also replaced the breaks on his and as you can see from the picture above last but not least he bathed the dog. Everyones favorite chore I know. He still has a couple of days off of work and we are just going to relax and enjoy the next couple he deserves a big break.

Well the summer is almost over and I am very excited. Of course it isn't a mutual feeling.

But then you can't please everyone all of the time right. So everyone should just try and please mom all of the time. I have suggested it but this is the reaction that I get.

I do feel bad Craig has been gone so much this summer that we haven't taken the kids anywhere really fun. We never did make it back to Florida to use our annual passes to the water parks before they expired again. But at least we got our moneys worth out of them last summer.

We have still had a lot of fun this summer the weather has been nice and cool most of the summer so we have spent a lot of days at the park. It's been to cold around here to use the pool much but it's always nicer at the park when things are cooler. And we are very glad to have Craig back at home for a little bit. We have missed him a lot. Hope that everyone is enjoying the end of their summer. That you will have a great weekend and have the chance to spend some time with those that are most important in your life.

Another old but good picture. We are excited cause daddy is coming home tomorrow it has been almost three weeks this time and we have missed him terribly. But tomorrow he will be home. He has another show but this one is in Salt Lake so we will be able to see him in the evenings. The weather is turning warmer also so hopefully we will all be able to enjoy the pool before it has to be taken down. So much for global warming it has been cold more then hot around here this summer. Maybe next summer it will snow;) Have a good one everyone.

Just wanted to send a quick post to daddy. We haven't been able to in awhile because of phone and internet problems. Thought you might like this picture its from awhile ago when you were out of town again:) and me and the boys and Zach's friend Dakota flew to California for just a quick disney fix. Lots of fun.
