Easter

As you can see I am doing a fabulous job of staying up to date with the three things that we do a year.  I am using the excuse for easter though that we just had our easter egg hunt on Saturday.  I know that is almost a week ago but let's pretend this is monday.  We actually did dye the eggs before easter.  As you can see Zach is thrilled to have his picture taken.  He was equally thrilled to dye the eggs.

And here they are all decorated.

My sister and her husband and little boy couldn't make it to town until this past weekend so we decided to hold off on the egg hunt till then.  The older boys were excited to get more candy since I think most of theirs is gone now from easter.

Jacob was happy to have collected the most.

They gather up empty eggs and trade them in for candy at the end so that everyone gets equal.  It isn't so much of a hunt as a gathering.  They are just thrown around so that even the littlest have no problems getting them.  Zach and Paige decided they were to old this year but they weren't to old to get a basket full of candy hmmm.

April fools day

Yes I am behind.  I thought that these were kind of funny for april fools day.  Sandwiches are bread, ham and cheese cut small.  Some sunflower seeds for a side also some cheese cut into strips and donuts.  The donuts were the biggest pain to make they are cheerios with a little frosting and some sprinkles over the top.

Jacob thought it was great and ended up eating everyones since no one else was all that impressed.  All I heard was funny what's really for lunch.  Oh well.

Candy bar taste test.....

The boys thought that it would be fun to have a candy bar taste testing contest.  I think they just wanted candy!

We bought 14 different candy bars I chopped them into bite size pieces and numbered them.  Then the tasting began.

They both couldn't wait to get started but it didn't take long before they started slowing down.

Jacob spent more time drinking water then eating chocolate which surprised me. He also wouldn't take anymore then a nibble off the end so he never got anymore then chocolate.

The result of this contest was that they both realized yes there is such a thing as to much chocolate.  They both couldn't wait to have the contest and it didn't take to many tastes before they were both getting tired of it.

The final results: they each guessed 5 right that was it.  There were only two candy bars on their that they were familiar with Zach's favorite 3 musketeers and Jacob's favorite Reeses Peanut butter cup and yes they both got both of those right:)

I still have a bowl of bags of candy bar pieces on my kitchen table are there any takers?
