So here are some pictures of what the boys have been doing this week.  They have spent more time then I would have liked them to but a lot less then they thought was fair.   Well that isn't completely true either.  Zach has had to be limited from his favorite activity.

Jacob on the other hand has been loving putting lego sets together that he got for christmas he has spent far less time playing games and more time with the legos.

And this is what Craig did.  He got both tv's hung in the boys rooms for them.  And they love it.

I do need to do something about the wires, especially in Jacob's room.  Zach was under the impression that he would have cable and was a little dissapointed but very excited to learn that he can stream netflix so he has been studying his mythbusters.  Who said you can't learn something on christmas break.



Christmas Day

Well the big day finally arrived it is hard to believe that it was a couple of days ago already. 

Let the unwrapping begin.....

Jacob didn't think that books were an acceptable gift even if it was about Phineas and Ferb.

Santa brought the boys each a new tv for their room.  They were very lucky.  Thanks to everyone for the wonderful gifts and hope that everyone had at least one thing that they wanted waiting under their tree for them.



Christmas Eve PJ's

The boys get christmas eve pj's every year I know like just about every other kid out there.  But even though they know what they are they can hardly wait to open them.  I think it is because they just want to open anything at this point they are tired of waiting.

This picture looks like Jacob is sneaking up on it or something but he was actually running at the couch.

Footie pajamas yeah.

The first thing that they noticed was that they were matching, apparantly that isn't ok even in the privacy of your own home. No one would put them on and pose for pictures, turns out they knew they would make it on the blog and told me no.  Oh well they did look cute in them and said that they were warm.

Christmas Eve!!!

The boys are bored, bored, bored, bored.  Cause there is nothing to do.  Why oh why can't today be christmas.  Won't they be dissapointed when they get up tomorrow and there is still nothing to do:)  We finished off our lego advent calendar this morning but it seems that there are burglars afoot and one is trying to make a getaway with Santa Claus, luckily the trusty police are hot on his trail.

One day left on our Mickey advent calendar.

And also on our Nightmare calendar.  And still nothing to do.

Yesterday I convinced the boys to each decorate a sugar cookie tree.  Zach is on the left and Jacob on the right. 

And I finished one of my two almond cakes.  Jacob was in charge of the snow on it and now there is nothing to do again.

Day 9, 10 and 11

Oops the kids pointed out it has been a couple of days since I put their advent update on here.  We have lengthened the wall on the police station gotten a pirate ship and a fisherman with a fish.

Gingerbread houses

Sunday we did gingerbread houses and celebrated Paige's birthday.  I took a picture of the cake cause I told the boys I want one just like it for my next birthday:)

Then it was on to the gingerbread houses.  This always kind of funny to watch. 

Ok finished this first one is Zach's.

Another year another gingerbread house.  Now we just have to find somewhere to store them.  Maybe they will stay at Grandma's:)

Christmas party with Santa!

We had our christmas party this morning at church. It was a cowboy christmas and it turned out to be a lot of fun.  My picture of the stage didn't turn out all that good but you get the idea.  Craig built the cactus christmas tree and it turned out really cute.

Then Santa came I love this picture of him and Zach.

This is a cute picture as well but Jacob didn't look at me till he stood up to walk away.  I think he was in shock!

 

We had a lot of fun though and hopefully the boys have been good enough that Santa will be back?

Day 3

Today we got a police man to chase our christmas burglar.  He even came with his own set of handcuffs.



Day 2 - advent calendar

Already on day 2.  Zach's turn. 

Today it was a Christmas Catapult.  Last night we got the opportunity to attend Zach's christmas concert he did a great job.  We also got to hear him on the drums for he first time.  It was a lot of fun and Jacob had fun guessing the songs as quickly as possible. 



Day 1 advent calendar

Day 1 has finally arrived.  Zach decided that Jacob can start it (I think he wants the last day:).

We thought that the anticipation would kill us but we survived.  Zach wanted to wake Jacob at 5:30 this morning to open this (it was agreed they have to open them together) I convinced him to wait until 6:30.

Today they got a holiday burglar.



Preparing for December.

We had a great thanksgiving and hope that everyone else did also.  Thanks for all the thanksgiving wishes.  Tomorrow is the beginning of December and the boys can hardly wait.  This year we decided to purchase the Lego Advent Calendar instead of the usual chocolate ones.  Last year they each had their own and by the 5th of December they had finished them.  They then came to me and asked for another one so I gave them the lecture about how they work again, and replaced them.  Well within a couple of days they were competely eaten again.  I refused to replace them again.  So this year we are sharing.  It sits in the living room and I have warned them I know all of their tricks.  If I don't hear it rip open each day I know they have been getting into it and then they will lose it.  They both love legos and they seem to be ok with sharing so we will see how it goes.

We had Jakson's family birthday celebration the Sunday before his birthday when we could all be together, but today is his birthday.  Happy Birthday Jakson.



Mouse trap car

In Zach's shop class at school they made mouse trap cars.  Here is his finished car.



Snow!!!

We woke up to snow yesterday and I couldn't get the snow song from White Christmas out of my head.  I love the snow.  We had to go out to pick one of the boys up from a sleepover so we took some pictures.  All from inside the car of course.  It's to cold outside, the boys winter clothes are all out, washed and put away.  Guess I will have to do the same with mine and Craig's now.  Oh well I still love the snow.  Oh and the christmas music has started on fm 100 also, that is now the only station my radio in the car will tune to.  hehe.
